Objectives

This master class is designed to help participants obtain detailed knowledge of pelvic anatomy and comprehensive skills required for surgical management of moderate to severe endometriosis.

  • Principles and techniques of laparoscopic excisional surgery for peritoneal endometriosis
  • Principles and techniques of ovarian endometriotic cystectomy
  • Principles of pelvic side wall and ureteric dissection
  • Principles and techniques of Pouch of Douglas endometriosis surgery
  • Principles and techniques of excisional surgery for recto-vaginal endometriosis
  • Principles and techniques of surgery for endometriosis involving urinary tract
  • Principles and techniques of hysterectomy and oophorectomy in severe endometriosis
  • Management and prevention of complications related to complex endometriosis surgery
  • Principles of multidisciplinary approach for patients with complex endometriosis

    • To learn to manage vascular and visceral injuries which may occur during endometriosis surgery
  • Live theatre demonstration
