Dr Rebecca Nash  BA, MBBS, MMinInvS, FRANZCOG

Dr. Rebecca Nash is an advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive gynaecologist who is a passionate advocate for women’s health with a focus and dedication to improving awareness through education, ongoing research, and treatment of endometriosis to provide the best possible support and care to her patients.

After graduating from the University of Queensland in 2014, Dr. Nash received extensive specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at major teaching hospitals across Australia, including Royal Prince Alfred, Royal North Shore, The Mater, North Shore Private, Northern Beaches, Canterbury and Royal Darwin Hospitals.

In 2023, following completion of the Masters in Minimally Invasive Surgery with particular interest in managing endometriosis and fibroids, Dr Nash has embarked on a 2-year Accredited Training Program (AATP) fellowship at the prestigious Centre for Advanced Reproductive Endosurgery (CARE) under the auspices of the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery (AGES) Society.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Nash is actively participating in education, both to medical students as an Associated Lecturer at Macquarie University, and to specialists and fellows as a faculty member through the tri-annual CARE Master Class Courses in laparoscopic pelvic surgery.

Dr Nash has presented her research work at national and international conferences, including Management of Vesico-Vaginal Fistula via Robotic Approach at the 2024 American Association of Gynaecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) Global Congress on Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgery in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Robotic Hysterectomy for removal of 3kg cervical fibroid at the AGES 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting in Perth.

She is currently participating in several research projects including:

  • Evaluation of safety and efficacy of a novel tool for laparoscopic hysterectomy tissue extraction
  • Evaluation of the role of a protein marker, BCL-6, as a potential non-invasive preoperative marker of endometriosis
  • Evaluation of usefulness and acceptability of RATE (Raising Awareness Tool for Endometriosis) amongst teenagers

She is the lead author of the recently published article “Office Hysteroscopy: Suitable for all? A retrospective cohort study of safety, success and acceptability in Australia”, in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

With up-to-date knowledge, and abundance of energy and compassion, Dr. Nash aims to improve women’s health through research, education, and minimally invasive techniques.
