Clinical Problems

  • CARE is a tertiary referral centre to which women with a wide range of female pelvic disorders are referred for evaluation and management.
  • Our major areas of interest and expertise include endometriosis, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts and menstrual abnormalities.

Investigations

  • Urodynamics – the study of bladder function to help diagnose and treat urinary incontinence
  • Ultrasound – non-invasive imaging of the pelvic organs
  • Colposcopy – an outpatient assessment of the cervix when there are abnormal pap smears to determine if treatment is required

  • Clinical Education – in addition to consultation with our specialist doctors, CARE has a wide range of educational information packages and dedicated nurse educator to help patients gain a thorough understanding the underlying problem, any recommended investigation, and treatment details.
